Two Hearts, One Story
How they met — from both perspectives — and the journey that led to this day.
From the Groom
Well, a mutual friend, introduced us by sending each of us a picture of the other. She told us we could just be friends, and we both agreed since we'd both just gotten out of some rough relationships. But, you know, God had other plans.
On December 24, 2024, I messaged her for the first time, and from that day on, I just knew something was different. I knew she had to be in my life because I was starting to really like her. At one point, our chat got to talking about the type of women I'm into, and I kinda hinted at her to see if there was anything there from her side, or if we were just gonna be friends. I told her, "I like a woman with your kind of personality," and her exact words were, "I hope you find what you're looking for."
So, right away, I figured it wasn't going anywhere. When the question came back to her, and she said the kind of guy she likes, I said the same thing, only to find out later that she was upset because she thought I wasn't interested.
So, seriously, who friend-zoned who first? When I finally met her in person, I was even more convinced, so I decided to tell her how I felt, and it's been amazing ever since. Now she's going to be my wife.

Amutual friend introduced us as friends, and we started talking every day. It didn't take long for us to develop a strong friendship as we realized we had so much in common. We spent many evenings talking about God and watching movies or anime together on Microsoft Teams.
When we met in person for the first time as friends we grabbed ice cream and spent hours talking and laughing. As I got to know him, I realized he is a gentle soul, kind, funny (not funnier than me though 😜), and deeply passionate about his relationship with God and serving others. The more I got to know him, the more I realized my feelings had grown beyond friendship.
He'll tell you that I friend-zoned him but I assure you, HE FRIEND-ZONED ME FIRST!!😂 A few weeks later, he asked if he could take me on a date. We went on a few dates, and with each one, I found myself falling for this wonderful man even more. We share the same sense of humor, and there's truly never a dull moment when we're together. Before long, he asked to make things official, and of course I said yes!
As our relationship grew, so did my certainty that this was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Every day, I became more grateful that God had brought us together, and I couldn't imagine doing life with anyone else. Now here we are! 🥰 It's been such an incredible journey and I'm so excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife❤️
